In order to help eligible Navajo people pursue their educational objectives, the Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship & Financial Assistance offers scholarships. Also Students majoring in Teacher Education or related subjects are eligible for the full-time ONNSFA scholarship and the part-time ONNSFA award.
The goal of the ONNSFA is to provide financial aid to qualified candidates who can show a “need” based on their income. Depending on the scholarship, the award varies.
So in 1972, the Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship & Financial Aid (ONNSFA) was founded. ONNSFA policies and processes as well as other funding sources are presented by agency employees at job fairs hosted at Navajo Nation high schools, chapters, and other locations.
Eligibility For Scholarship Program of the Navajo Nation
1. So Applicants who are applying for the Navajo Nation Teacher Education Program must be attending the following institutions and take the required Navajo Language or Navajo Culture course work from Dine’ College.

Method Of Application For ONNSFA
The applicants must set up an account in order to apply for both the full-time and part-time ONNSFA scholarships. Applicants are to visit Office of Navajo Nationa Scholarship.
1. Also, students are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student. Aid (FAFSA) and submit the Financial Need Analysis to the institution’s financial aid office.
2. A Letter of Admission or Re-Admission from the institution the applicant will attend is required.
3. Official high school transcripts, GED scores, and official transcripts from all colleges attended must be mailed or hand-carried to an agency office.
4. A list of all the courses needed to finish the degree being pursued must be submitted by all college juniors, seniors, and graduate applicants.
5. Evidence of Indian blood must be submitted.
Also the files must be submitted in.pdf format by candidates to their student accounts: the letter of admission, the checklist for earning a degree upon graduation, and the class schedule. But other files must be sent by mail or by hand.
Application cutoff date:
The deadline for online fall applications is June 25. Applications go live on March 15.
But the deadline for online Winter/Spring applications is November 25. Applications go live on September 25.
