Scholarship Value

Gates Cambridge Scholarship offers the winners with the following assistance:

• The tuition fee at the appropriate price
• A maintenance stipend for each student (£18,744 for 12 months at the 2022-23 rate; pro rata for programs shorter than 12 months) – for Ph.D. scholars the award is for up to 4 years
• One economy single airfare at both the beginning and end of the
• Inbound visa payments & the payment of the immigration Health Surcharge
• Educational development sponsoring, from up to £500 to up to £2,000, dependent on the length of your program, to attend workshops.
• Family wage up to £10,944 for one child and up to £15,612 for two or more children (2022-23 rate). No money is offered for a partner.
• Fieldwork, you may enrol to keep up to your normal maintenance wage while on fieldwork as part of your Ph.D. (the money does not fund other fieldwork charges as these should be payed by the institution Composition Fee).
• Maternity/Paternity funding – should you requst it, you may enroll to suspend your studies for up to 6 months and keep on receiving your maintenance stipend during this time
• Hardship funding – for unexpected difficulties facing an awardee.

To be eligible for Gates Cambridge Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criterias below:
