Burger King Scholars Program 2022

The Scholarship Program, Operated by Scholarship Management Services, has been officially announced by the Burger King McLAMORE Foundation. The Burger King Scholars Program aids high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada in continuing their higher education.

It also aids employees’ spouses, domestic partners, children, and spouses’ children.

The purpose of scholarship grants, which vary from $1,000 to $50,000, is to assist students in defraying the expense of attending post-secondary vocational/technical school or college.

In October 2005, the Burger King McLAMORE Foundation was founded. It is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable corporation and the system’s charitable arm.

 Conditions for Eligibility

Applications are accepted from October 15 to December 15 each year, and scholarships range in value from $1,000 to $50,000.

Burger King Scholar Eligibility Requirements

1. Candidates must possess a solid academic record with a minimum cumulative GPA in high school of 2.5,
2. Must be fervently committed to helping the community, and
3.  Must be a senior in high school, a worker at Burger King, a spouse or domestic partner, or a kid of a worker.

James W. McLamore Whopper Scholarship Requirement

1. being a citizen of either Canada or the United States
2. be a full-time senior at a high school or home school in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico, or have completed high school within the last three years,
3. Students who are applying as full-time freshmen to a four-year accredited institution in the United States that is exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3),
4. Students with a minimum ACT Composite score of 25 or a minimum combined SAT score of 1700, Students with a cumulative unweighted grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3,
5. Students who exhibit strong leadership qualities in extracurricular activities like student government, team sports, fraternity life, and community service etc.

6. Students with significant job experience.

Auxiliary Document

1. You must send a current, comprehensive transcript of grades from your high school or college along with your application. Reports of grades are not acceptable. Unofficial or online transcripts must include the student’s name, school name, grades, and the number of credits earned for each course and semester.

2. A list of your professional experiences, extracurricular activity, and community service.
3. Information about BURGER KING employees if your application is to be connected to one.
4. Financial details about your family, if appropriate. It may be useful to have a copy of your parents’ most recent tax return that they filed with the IRS or Revenue Canada.

Value of Scholarship

Since 2011, the McLamore Family Foundation has awarded three students a $50,000 scholarship each year.

Applications Closing Date

Before December 15, 2022, you must electronically submit your application for Burger Scholars Program Scholarship.

Each year, the application period is open from October 15 to December 15 and offers scholarships ranging in value from $1,000 to $50,000. The application will be taken down if 50,000 applications are submitted before December 15th.
